Arc Flash Training with ETS

NFPA 70E and OSHA Arc Flash Training

Many businesses and workers have not yet fully recognized the hazards associated with arc flashes and arc blasts. Training in arc flash protection is a relatively new topic that has not been addressed in many of the employer programs, so the hazards are often not addressed. Many businesses also do not have the technical resources to perform this essential training.

There are several things you must do to comply with the NFPA 70E and OSHA standards, including using the correct tools, providing the correct personal protective equipment (PPE), performing calculations for the degree of arc flash hazard, and providing warning labels.

You must also provide training for workers on the hazards of arc flash. OSHA places the burden of training on the employer. Employers must ensure that they are meeting all of the training requirements for their workers including any site-specific training requirements.

Electrical Testing Solutions can provide training to help educate workers on the hazards of Arc Flash and supplement any additional classroom training that is required.
